First time I've entered NYC for over 12 months as I kept getting romance or romantic comedy... I'm a horror/thriller writer so I am excited about this challenge.

Been a longtime NYC Midnight participant but only ever in the screenplay challenges, so this is my first time writing fiction. I love horror so that's what drew me to this challenge!

After 2 1/2 years (and a very disappointing result my last time), I have returned! With what I got this time, I'm just glad I got it finished! Group 80: A workout / Losing / A Disc Jockey Le Danse Macabre A workout contest promises a thousand-dollar prize to anyone who could survive one hour. But losing the contest may cost you more than the money. |

This was my first NYC Midnight so my expectations (of myself) were very low, but I had so much fun playing around with this set of prompts! The way I used the 'scare' was not the most straightforward, so I have no idea what the judges will think...but hey, it was fun for me.
Group 29: Isolation / Buzz / A puppeteer Which led to: Josephine and the Puppetmaker An unfinished marionette refuses to accept the name given to her.
