The Center for Writing Excellence is sponsoring a fiction writing contest: http://writingxlns.wordpress.com/contest-page/
Fiction in Five is a fiction writing contest where the entrant follows a prompt and has five days to write a 750-1000 word story. The entry fee is only $5 and the first place winner will win $20 plus free tuition for a Webinar of his or her choice, plus publication on our Website. All rights to the story remain with the author. |

Actually, this contest is now updated, it occurs on the first Monday every other month - the next one is Monday, August 1, 2011. The first prize is now a $25 Amazon gift card, a canvas tote bag, publication on the Website AND publication in the annual Fiction in Five Anthology.
