I'm in the Federal Witness Protection program, so I can't tell you what I do.

Wait.

I may have blown my cover.

I'm an editor for long- and short-form articles and scripts for 3-5 minute videos. I delight in developing methodologies to make my work simpler and faster.

Communications and alumni engagement. I'm just about finished my masters though, and have ambitions of an academic career in professional and creative writing.

R&D scientist, imaging devices, semiconductor industry.

Dreaming of spending my retirement writing novels, except my retirement is 20+ years away. So for the time being I content myself with giving it a try at night.

And on this night, I’m looking in despair at my first, atrocious 2600-word draft for this contest, and realize how much work I need to put into this dream of mine, over the next twenty years.

Wish me luck.

Oh Hai there fellow R&D scientist (though my R&D area was early target discovery, molecular biology/neuroscience, Pharma before I transitioned into PM).

And I totally sympathize- I've got an ~800 word draft so far and am likewise despairing how much work I'll need for my dream of writing full length novels...  oh well, every journey starts with a single step- and NYCM is as good as place as any to start!

Good luck!!

I’m a training supervisor for the McDonald’s franchise I’ve been working for since I was 16. I oversee about 450 people. Sometimes they listen to me. 😛
