Sent a message to NYC Midnight and got this response! Yay! 

"Hi Erin, registration for the 250-word Microfiction Challenge will open in early October, and the challenge will take place in November. Dates will be announced when registration opens. Please let us know if you have any other questions or need anything else!"

Does anyone know if/when the 250-word contest returns? I haven't checked, but I thought registration opened in September last year. It's by far my favorite contest, so I'm hoping it's on its way!

I have it tentatively scheduled in my calendar for the first weekend in October, if it's held the same weekend as last year. Hopefully we'll get an email re: registration soon!

You can if you click where it says '100 words' or '250 words'. Although the 250 still links to last year's competition.

Yeah, figured it out. If they are doing it I dont think it will be next month, no time, well maybe.
