I am always so thankful for any feedback, whether it is repetitive or not. I like to know that people are reading my stuff. As a friend in my writing group teases me, "way to get excited about attention/affirmation from total strangers!" Tongue

Thanks for everyone's replies :D
So far, I've been reading the stories first, reading feedback and then compiling my own if I feel like I have something to add. From now on though, I'll try commenting before reading other feedback and not worry if I'm readdressing trodden issues :D

This is a good question.

I have been skimming the feedback. There are some things, when I am reading stories, that I like, but I do not think it is a specific, fundamental thing to comment on. Then, someone comments that they love it or hate it, and I feel obligated to chime in if I disagree or think they are making a particular point.

I would say, read the story, develop your comments, skim the other comments, and see if any of that affects your comments or not.
