"Successful" as a subject for my heat - nice and vague!
I'd love to write a paleontologist character.
I've never tried to write comedy before...

Is that more than usual or is it about normal for this contest?

More than last year, though that's where my experience starts and ends. At least they upped the prizes too!
Oh no

Mystery! Not a genre I read.. a bit of yike!

But I think that's what is so cool about this! I'll have to think in ways I'm not used to.

Cheers everyone! Have fun!! Beer

Fairy tale, fearless, foster parent
Oh man, I feel like this is gonna be rough. This setup baits you hard into a handful of formulaic scenarios. Writing something halfway fresh will be a task.
Oh no

Fantasy, didn't advance to third round in SSC
Science Fiction, one point in FFC, part one
Suspense, 12 points in FFC, part two

What genres are you looking forward to?

I think for me- it's less about what genre(s)-I'm looking forward to the most, but which one I dread the most! I'd take any one really, except for.... romance!  Such a hard nope for me- just something I've never been able to write well...  which of course that means I'll get assigned to the romance group in R1!  LOL

Not too much longer a wait now...  good luck to everyone to get genres you're excited about!
