   I've read the story in today's (Dec. 14) Daily Science Fiction before, but I can't remember where. Was it from one of the flash competitions here? At the DSF site, it's called "Optic Covenant" by Katherine Ley. Does anyone else remember reading this? If this is indeed a forumite, I'd love to congratulate them here!
