Crime Caper/A clockwatcher/Shortcomings

Five Minutes to Freedom
11-year-old Cass McLean hatches a plan to escape detention by speeding up time, but can her partner-in-crime rise to the challenge?

This was a tough one for me, but I'm proud that I was able to finish and submit on time!

It's been fun to read so many loglines. I'm always fascinated by how different prompts lead to such wildly different stories. Excited to read some of your scripts!

Hi all! Been doing NYC Midnight writing contests for a few years but this is my first attempt at screenwriting, and I gotta say...it was super fun! Was discouraged when I got horror as a genre--don't watch or read in it AT ALL--but I submitted...something :)

GROUP: 15

Horror / All-inclusive / a salesperon

Karmana Island

A big-shot CEO tries to relax at an exclusive island resort, but he can't seem to escape his beautiful guide, or his sins.

Genres are random. That said, I've had Thriller a lot more than other genres. And comedy as well actually. I've pulled that at least 3 times but never Rom Com or Poli Sat. Unless I wiped that from memory.

It might take a while to get Yahtzee Wink

Love it! I'm going to call it my yahtzee file!

Reading some of the titles and loglines here has made me feel a bit inadequate. My stuff is fairly more straightforward.

Group 32
-Fairy Tale
-Staycation
-A Gossipmonger

Title: Beauty and the Beasts Staycation
Logline: Adam plans a weekend "staycation" much to the annoyance of Belle. Red Riding Hood follows the couple, mocking them on social media, until Belle finally snaps.

I've never heard of a 'point man'! I'm impressed you managed to do something with that; I'm not sure I'd've known where to start.

@RichD74 I hope you post this one to read! I once worked with a French man, and he saw me microwave a croissant. He did not talk to me for the rest of the day! LOL
