I'm a genre nazi this year because I learned a valuable lesson last year when my drama wandered into the sci-fi arena and I pretty much tanked (despite the fact that I thought it was a strong script ... for a sci fi) LOL.

Wenonah, did they actually tell you that you were penalized for doing that or is it a conclusion that you yourself drew?

Wow, can't wait 'til the rest of us get to read it.  Awesome.

HA! Okay, Hairy ... thanks for putting the pressure on me! I'm going back at my next draft this afternoon to tighten and put the shine on it.  I'm happy with the story, but I honestly hope there is some stiff competition out there! I love a good bloody script brawl.

Bheddle - for me it's all about the fun and challenge and you should be very proud of whatever you write! The first year I did this I made first runner up... so so close!

I'm rooting for you!!! (to be first runner up Wink )

It was a conclusion I drew myself. I'm not saying it was the perfect script and I'm sure the winner of my heat and runners-up were well deserved. Ijust know that I had a drama assignment and put it int he future. I'd be happy to let you read it if you'd like. My heat was drama/unemployment - and I set it in the future. My character was the last human employee that just got his pink slip.

Wow, sounds like a good idea to me.  Shouldn't be penalized for "Future Drama."  Would love to read it.

well since i scratched my original idea last night after putting in 20 pages of work, i started writing a more chase style thriller instead of the mind bending/pyschological thriller because my mind his hurting.  Already did 4 pages and i think its rolling along nicely...should be ready by tomorrow.
