 Heat 6: fairytale / valentine's day/ an amputee

First time sending some of my writing into a contest so I'm super nervous! And mann... fairytales are a struggle for someone who usually writes dark/sad stories. I managed to keep some of that in there though.LOL Can't wait for the feedback!

AN ASSOCIATED COST

Not all battles of the Spanish-American war were fought overseas. In our nation's capital, Mr. Whistler has to do a job that even the most powerful men in the country can't do themselves.

Core Truths

On the planet Terrarum, all life flows from the Twelve Empress Mothers.

When a savage attack on one compromises the viability of the others, two scientists

must journey to a distant planet in search of a precious metal that can save them all.

Ooo, you changed the title. This is good!

Synopses are invariably the woooorst. The urge to get snarky in them is pretty strong. My friend's placeholder was "AND THEN ONE OF THEM DIES." At least, I think it was a placeholder...
