Good luck everyone! Remember we only have 48 hours this time :)

I got group 7: drama / biweekly / an educator

What did you get? How are you feeling about it?

Group 3 - Comedy / immortality / a statistician.

(I had an auditor last round which is weirdly similar, but weirdest of all, I've had the exact same run of genres two years in a row now - crime caper / suspense / comedy!)

Group 4 - sci-fi - immature - a reptile owner

The first time I've had sci-fi and I'm part excited because it's one of my favourite genres to read, part intimidated because that means I should be good at it.
I've got an image of Samuel L Jackson saying "I've had it with these motherf***ing snakes on this motherf***ing spaceship" that is going to be hard to shake.
Also, the imposter syndrome kicked in good and proper when I read that there are only 220 of us left.. I was trying not to think about that!

Group 10. Mystery, loophole, huckster. I've never attempted to write a mystery before so I've got no idea what I'm going to do yet!

G6 - Rom Com - A blacklist - A bounty hunter

Back-to back Rom Com and I am feeling ok about it! I was hoping for something I've never gotten before, but I love Rom Com and Romance so it's not a travesty or anything :)

I HAVE to plug a story here from my friend :) She wrote this for mystery the flash fiction version of this competition, and it got published in Flash Fiction Online. I think she got first in her group, but I can't fully remember. I know she definitely got through the round

I love it as an example of an efficient mystery that's heartwarming and memorable and fits its word count perfectly.

Good words! You'll do a great job <3

Group 8 - Historical Fiction/ a last bastion / an artisan.

I had to Google what last bastion means so I'm off to a flying start. And now I'm going back to bed.

I'm not in group 9 but as someone who not only had to learn about the life of coal miners in school and the history of Welsh coal mining, but had to go to coal mines on school trips, if any group 9ers want random facts about historical coal mining to help you along, feel free to hit me up :p
