They canceled it and put in the 500 word short story.

The bereavement is real.

Have you heard of Ink 2 Screen? I just found out about it a couple months ago and wish I had sooner. It fills the void of losing Short Screenplay a little.

First time entering in July and I shortlisted! From my very limited experience, it looks like it's a photo prompt every month with maybe an additional requirement from time to time. I can't comment on feedback yet but I'll receive that tomorrow. Sounds like the participant numbers aren't that high - the email I received with the shortlist said that there were over 30 entries this month. So, pretty good chances.

I'm just happy to have a reason to write a screenplay every month so I plan to be a regular submitter.

Sad to see the short screenplay contests jettisoned.  I used to judge them and remember some great ones.

There is very little info on that site - such as judges, where it is at, excreta.
If this is the same contest my friend entered, then it is judged by one woman(the one that runs the contest) in North Dakota or something - hardly the screenwriting capital of the US of A. But I could be wrong.
