Action/Adventure / Burned-out / A Mercenary

Wouldn’t have been my choice, not least because ‘burned-out’ hurts my burnt-out Aussie brain.

After my initial, very British reaction of..... WTF is a pitchman? ... I think it's not so bad. I was originally sulking as I wanted horror or Historical Fiction. Perhaps the prompts could be molded into the latter?

Thanks for putting up this thread dcontarato..... I'm always intrigued with how others feel about their prompts!

Good luck everyone!

This is my dream prompt

I shall take that as a positive then, and try to channel you into the script Jenna!

Thanks :)

Drama > Bartering > An engineer

My first surprise upon starting was finding out I didn't know the proper definition of bartering!

I'm okay with romance. As for the other prompts, I see a lot of research in my immediate future.

Same group. My first time writing in this format for NYCM. Romance is not my forte. That said, an interesting set of prompts.

Fairy Tale / Impregnable / A swindler

Was kind of dreading Fairy Tale, but got a few ideas coming together now... the question is, do I go traditional with a twist or just outright anti-traditional?

Fairy Tale

Timekeeper

Quick Q. If I do a Fairy Tale about Trolls (for example), how much do I need to describe what they look like? Can I just they're greyish-green trolls and how big they are (compared to humans), or should explain more? Apologies if this is not the right forum/thread, I'm new here. :)

Hey, nice to see another Fairy Tale-r! I'm fairly new here too (last year was my first time entering) but as I understand it, you should only describe what's relevant to the story (so yes, size may be helpful) but in terms of more detailed looks - I think the audience has a fairly good understanding of what a Troll generally looks like so it's not necessary to go in heavy on the description. Hope that helps!
