G8 Horror/a buyout/poultryman

I'm not going to lie, I hate this prompt more than any I've ever received LOL. But I think I ended up reasonably happy with this (might just be the sleep deprivation talking, though).

FOWL RAISER

After his land is bought out, an angry poultry farmer swears they'll never make him leave. They should have listened.

CHICKEN CHASE

Logline: A group of teenagers camp in the forest telling horror stories, when they end up in one themselves.

So keen to read this, groupmate! Love that title.

Group 14: Fantasy/Bravery/Foreigner

Scales of Justice
An enslaved chimney sweep risks her life to escape the oppressive grip of Engine Master Thrip.

Really enjoyed this round and can't wait to read how my heat mates have interpreted the prompts! Best of luck everyone.

Group 4 - RomCom / Cohabitation / An Optometrist

Seeing Other People

An optometrist can’t see how to escape her dead-end relationship. Maybe it needs to be spelled out for her.

I’m kinda happy with it but it runs a real risk of elimination for marginalising ‘cohabitation’. Looking forward to settling down with a bunch of these on Tues/Weds!

SALT
Trapped for two long weeks in hotel quarantine in Sydney, Rosie is feeling the walls closing in. But when she and Neve catch sight of each other through their neighbouring windows, things start to get a little more bearable...

Had an absolute blast writing this - never written romcom before.

This sounds like a super-clever take! I look forward to it, heatmate!

Group 4 / Rom Com / cohabitation/ An Optometrist

‘Spectrecles’

When William moves into a new home he thought he'd be living alone. Due to a pair of old spectacles, he quickly learns that he's actually cohabiting with the long lost love of his life.

—-

Not sure if this is actually a romantic ghost story with some comedy crowbarred in. Still, enjoyed the write whatever happens.
