Hi NYCM writers

Would anyone be interested in doing a practice run of a 600 word rhyming story before the inaugural challenge kicks off next month?

I was thinking we could name a random genre / theme / emotion, have a crack at a rhyming story and post it in this thread to see what works and what doesn't and to get inspiration on rhyming sequences.

Thoughts?

I would participate in this!  Even if it's not a full 600 words, it would be good to get some feedback on whether a rhyming pattern "worked" for some readers (in one's own head of course it does!).

I would try this! I am almost afraid I won't be able to actually write anything. Wacko But I'm hoping the thrill of the contest and deadline will bring out the best in me! A practice round is a great idea.

Sure - when do you have in mind? I'm still hemming and hawing over whether to take part, so it could be a useful exercise.
