There are a bunch of great stories on the boards, but we may never have time to read them all (no matter how we try!)

Did you have a favorite? Are any sticking around in your head long after you read them? Share the link to a story you really enjoyed & why everyone else should take the time to check it out, too!

(Don't have a favorite yet? I like to go to the end of the forum to find stories that have zero comments posted. Let's dig for those hidden gems!)

Here are some of my favorites (so far!):

The Sodfather or something, I guess by ideallyowlish.
It's as comedy with dry, quick humor, and some nods out past the fourth wall that any competitor will appreciate. If you want something fun to read, this is it.

Andy Anderson, Apprentice Detective by Charlie272
Unfortunately my heatmate, so I have some stiff competition. I'm a sucker for well-executed non-chronological storytelling, and Charlie pulls it off and adds a strong narrative voice. Some great humor in here, too.

If we post story links on this thread, outside of the Short Story Challenge Review thread, are we opening them up to public access (as opposed to the restricted access of the Short Story Challenge Review forum)?

No! A person would need to log-in to access the private forum. Otherwise, the link would bring them to an "ACCESS DENIED" page.

Excellent, thank you! (Still learning how this whole forum thing works...)

I've read lots of good ones so far, but my fave is The Anti-Wedding Planner by northernwriter:

This story "Cannibalism is a Red Flag and Other Dating Myths" is extremely funny and well-written. Definitely the most original take on rom-com I've seen. The author has only posted a link to his website, where he has a recording of himself reading the story, which is probably why he hasn't received more hits, but it's well worth a listen!
