Great idea! 
For some reason I found the word limit really difficult this year. Maybe I just got used to the Short Story comp? But struggled to get under 1k. Well, here it is.

Group 42: Sci-Fi, a dance hall, a lottery ticket

THE TICKET

Synopsis: A young boy and girl sneak in to watch the drawing of the tickets. A lottery designed to give five lucky people a chance at life beyond their dying world.
