Pia -- I'd send them an e-mail and ask.  Or post a question on the Q & A forum -- it's worth a shot!
Check out our script:

Email them.  They are forgiving with that sort of thing.  You don't need to save the script that way, you can rename the file using Windows.  That is how I do it.

Done and sent. Tried to stay away from the boards, lest I became too distracted. I guess it worked. Got an outine done by Thursday, finished up with about an hour to spare. 15 pages on a twins/mockumentary. My first screenplay attempt ever. I probably have no idea of what I'm doing, but it still felt pretty good.

Congratulations to all who finished, and to everyone who entered and gave it their best shot. I believe we all get something out of this competition as writers for just making the effort.

Indieme, definitely try and contact someone about this. This sort of thing just wouldn't be fair, especially if you sent them a script. They should have proof of the time you sent it, even if it wasn't tagged according to the rules.

Wow...what a rush! I've been out all day and just got back to read the adrenaline surge that is the final hours around here. Nice community support and admirable effort by all. Thanks for the opportunity and good luck!

Thanks!

I did send them an e-mail. Seems like it should be able to be excused since it was a technical problem rather than just sloppiness. However, it did teach me a lesson about waiting to the last minute. I won't do that again, there can always be a pc problem and you don't want to struggle with that and be disqualified due to something silly like that.

That's exactly why I submitted last night.  I'm so paranoid.  Had I not, then certainly there would have been a power failure tonight and I'd have been beating my computer with a hammer.

Hey Chris,

I respect that you didn't want to enter a script that just wasn't gelling.  I hope you're not too down about it.

Aimee

Honestly, I am a little depressed about it, but at least I have MoviePoet.com and it's not like I have to wait a year to get back in the game.  In fact, I need to come up with a script about a phobia.  Is there a phobia about writing horror scripts?

Chris, you do intend to read and comment on scripts, right?

When do we have to submit this script anyway?
