I got Drama, Gifting and comfort.
I have a small story that has elements of historical fiction and sci-fi but does qualify as drama, not the best thing i've ever written.
Still, it's lodged in my mind and won't leave so off it goes to submission!

Action and/or Adventure, clearing a path, and possible
I'm already done my 3rd draft. I'm not sure there's much more to do until I can get some early feedback.
I'm also available to give feedback, is there somewhere I should post that?

You've already submitted? Wow! I don't even bother to start writing until Saturday morning. I'm gonna let the prompts percolate overnight! Romance / Hitting the snooze button / fresh

Someone should post a spreadsheet where you can pair up for beta reading tomorrow (US time).

Thanks for making to beta doc! Usually there is also a column for email addresses so people can share stories that way. That is also helpful so people in the same group can't see each other's stories. There is also usually a column for trigger warnings that people want to avoid. Do you mind if we add that?

Anyway, I got: Group 35 Genre - Rom Com Action - Braiding Word - Polite
I signed up last night on a whim, and didn't know if I'd even be able to put something together because I'm on an all day girl scout water park trip sleepover today! Was surprised and relieved when the muses blessed me, and I wrote an insomnia-fueled draft at 4am!

Ugh, I got this too. Comedy is hard enough in 100 words, but it’s hard to be inventive with pillow fighting - it’s so specific! And “decide” doesn’t leave a lot of room for creative interpretation either. Oh well - four hours to come up with an idea, here goes!

Glad ya had fun! Yeah, I post mine once allowed and keep a lil author archive here to document my progress (or soletimes lack thereof lol). I couldn't afford entries much last year so took some time away, so I maybe need to fix some broken links there ahaha!

Sci fi. I tried not to skew silly or absurd, which is what happens when I write fast. Still, it veered into satire, which also happens on a regular basis. At least it's not as silly as the original idea with the title "The Heretofore Unknown Properties of Exoxylatriathon."

i was shocked that i wasn't burdened with a genre outside my regular brain.
i got sci-fi, believing, port
i ended up really relaxing into the tone of a Twilight Zone script in "Rod's Fancy Multiverse Photopsia Portal, Now In Its Seventh Year!" starting at 350 words in the first draft was a deep knifing exercise! it feels like that was a pretty common experience? good luck all! s.

When NYCM sends out an email saying that your story is officially submitted, you can start posting. When the submission deadline is Saturday, I think that means the email will go out some time tomorrow...usually around noon est.
