How’s everyone feeling?

I’m worried I was a little ambitious with my storyline, ended up cutting two characters and a few initial scenes, but hey, you have to take swing right? LOL

…now the waiting begins Confused

Just hit submit! What a ride. Now I get to go and wallow in regret that one of my most favourite times of the year has passed.

Looking forward to reading some titles and loglines after the submissing deadline!

Same here! It wasn't an easy prompt but I think I did alright.

It’s crazy that I got put into the genre that I was just considering that I wanted to try to write for. What are the chances? It was crazy fun, this round.

Submitted about 8:30ish and I have to admit I had a lot of fun with this one. I had Comedy/Crunch Time/Censor. I look forward to sharing my logline and script when the time comes and reading others' and giving feedback to the crew.

Good Luck everyone!

Mark

I have submitted a few times, lol.
This was a lot of fun once I got it going, but it took days to find that groove. Like Nick says, sorry it is over for the year!

The nice thing about the character prompt is it doesn't need to be the main character, and just has to have something to do with the story, but not be the main focus! You’re probably overthinking it!

Submitted with about 15 minutes to deadline . . . whew! This was a tough slog for me. Didn't get anything written until late Thursday, when I wrote all of 2 pages. Not good. Got a few more pages done yesterday, unsure of how I was going to end the story. Finally got some inspiration for the ending today, and cranked it out. Not my best, but done > not done, and that's all that matters!

Submitted about 3am this morning.
I thought about changing the age range for my characters but since all they seem to want to do is put Zendaya into romances, I'm going with 20s.

I wish they'd report the completion numbers. They never do but it would be nice to know how many out of 27 in my group actually completed. What was my rank? Was I number 6 and just missed the cutoff? Or was I dead last and maybe this genre just isn't for me.

I don't know if they're trying to spare our feelings by not telling us or if they genuinely don't keep track. I would love to know and would even pay extra for ranking info.

I miss that Coverfly used to get us that info.

Yeah, but in a couple of days we can post our scripts in the forum here. That is always a lot of fun.

I doubt you'll get the ranking info, but as for drop-out rates, assume 20%-25% (the cost may put it nearer 18-20%, thinking about it). So 21-22 probably submitted. (I'm going by the rate on other competitions and factoring cost.)
