I'm busy with ideas for the 2nd round of the 250 flash fiction challenge and wanted to know if it's acceptable to write a children's story? If it's within the assigned genre is this acceptable, or do all submissions need to be for older audiences? Thanks!

I know this is too late for the 250, but in case anyone sees this in the future, I don't think it matters. I've had plenty of pieces that did well and the judges thought they would make a wonderful children's story.

Good storytelling is good storytelling, and if it's strong thematically, it can be enjoyed by people of all ages, in my opinion.
