I just wrote up a review of another contestant's final round entry story (Rhyming Story contest) and got it rejected due to "too many posts in a given time period" or something like that.  I hadn't reviewed a story in a few days, so I'm wondering what are the maximum limits on reviews in a given week?  This would have been maybe my fourth or fifth review since the submission deadline.

I’ve never heard of this, nor do I see why there might be such a limit. If 19 people post their stories (as is the case in our Rhyming Story final), I’m going to post on every one I read AND I’m going to probably respond to reciprocal feedback on my OWN post. Whether I do that in a week or an hour is irrelevant. (And quite frankly I find your feedback excellent, so I’d rather have more of it.)

I would email NYC directly to inquire.

It happened to me once.  I hit 'post reply' and nothing happened.  I hit it again and got that message. A few seconds later the original reply posted.  I think that message pops up if it thinks you're posting the same message again within seconds.  I figured it out after that.

Sorry for any inconvenience! There are a few "flood control" intervals set at 20 seconds between posts and a maximum of five posts in two minutes, but it doesn't appear there is anything more than that. If you are still having issues, please let us know here or by emailing us at  https://www.nycmidnight.com/contact" rel="nofollow - https://www.nycmidnight.com/contact so that we can look into it further. Thank you, and happy holidays!
