Morning! The rules state 11:59pm. However, I remember some results coming in a lot earlier in the years past. I can't wait either way!

It's usually a "wake up like it's Christmas morning and see your results/assignment" experience. good luck everyone!

Your script was the first one I looked for after mine because I thought it was the most impressive of all the scripts I read on this forum... and that's all I'll say about that!

Wow, I don't know if it was just my group but it felt like they were duelling AI stories. They were all so similar!
Stick a fork in me, I'm done.

The local theatre was actually excited to put on one of my plays this spring. For everyone who didn't use AI and didn't make it, good for you! Your local theatre would probably love your work.

Peace out

Does NYC have an official position on use of AI in its competitions and judging? Not seeing it in the rules or FAQs. I might email to ask. I felt some of the recent judging it was like they hadn't even read my story. Be gutted if this is allowed, it just changes the whole competition in my opinion.

I was in your group and I didn't use AI :( It was actually a pretty personal story, as I'm sure many of the ones in the drama genre were. Congrats on the play though!

Bottom of page 8 of 'SCC2025+Official+Rules+&+Participation+Agreement' clearly states no use of Artificial Intelligence.

I don't think there's AI at play in the judging, not sure if it'd be detectable in submissions or not, but I do think that the questionable feedback in past judging is most likely down to, as said, the judges not reading the submission properly or misinterpreting it. I found that with my last submission, I found myself thinking "yeah.... you were on a deadline and totally skimmed this" LOL never mind, it's a fun thing to do and the peer feedback is arguably more valuable than that of the judges.

FYI, it's totally up to you but if you post your script in the Screenwriting Challenge Review forum instead of here, it puts it in the private members forum, not the public one, so no-one outside the people who've signed up to the competition can get at it. It's also more likely to get views and feedback if that's what you want Smile
