We are pleased to announce the SECOND RUNNING of The Jerboa Lit 500!

Building on the success of our first flash fiction contest, we are holding our second competition this summer, June 27-29! Entrants from around the world will receive a prompt that includes a genre, an item, and a short phrase (all randomly chosen from a hat), and will then have 48 hours to incorporate those elements into a 500-word story. We have $2,200 in prizes to give out, including a $1,000 top prize, and we’d love for you to join us!

The prompt will be sent out at 10PM Central time (UTC-06:00) on June 27, 2025, and the 500-word story is due back to us on June 29. We're so excited for our second event: it's going to be even better than the first, and we would be thrilled if you can join us!
