A medical doctor who is also a witch and part of a family coven. They have average jobs to fit into the not magical society. Magic is never done around non magical humans. It affects them in a strange way, plus it keeps the covens secrecy and for safety. There are rules.
So the doctor uses both medical science and magical elements but at the hospital he has to refrain from magic which is difficult when someone is dying on his table...

I feel like this far on the fantasy side over sci fi.
Would appreciate some thoughts.

With the inclusion of magic, that takes it out of sci-fi contention for me. Even if you still have science involved, I still hear "magic" and my first thought is "fantasy."

I agree, more fantasy with the inclusion of magic. Unless you want to have it sci fi, you could change the wording and specify that ‘magic’ is more science and works with technology or study somehow.

Urban fantasy would probably be the subgenre.
