The deadline has passed! Post your titles and loglines (along with your prompts) here.

Group 2 / Romance / Disorganized / A prima donna

Away Games

At an out-of-state tournament, sparks fly between a high-school baseball coach and the father of the team's temperamental star pitcher.

And, just for fun, here's one I started but decided would not work:

BUDDY/COP

A grumbling police detective is partnered with a golden-boy rookie and given three orders: don't get him killed, don't bust his balls, and don't break his heart. Two out of three ain't bad.

Yes, and... A Gun, Too (Please)

After first meeting at a housewarming party, two improv comedy fans find themselves entangled in a murder plot.

Sounds too much like a farce from the logline and title alone, but I swear there are some thrilling moments (I think). Excited to be reading the scripts y'all share -- cheers to everyone for writing this past weekend :)

I had trouble with this all weekend -- ever create a world with a lot of rules and then regret it but you're too deep now so CHUG THAT COFFEE?  Sigh.  Thriller is also very not 'me' so I'm quite excited to see what my heatmates wrote!

When I first saw the word Boater I immediately thought, Oh like the hat but then realize it was under the subheading Character... That could have been a costly error ha.

I have a bit of an OCD thing where I check my group number and read my prompts multiple times throughout the weekend just to be sure I haven't made a mistake or read something wrong. Honest to god I just double checked "extraction" again to make sure I used the right word. Confused It's gonna happen one day that I mess it up, I just know it.

Good job!  Clever spin on the  "roommate" component, and I feel that weight on them right away with such a chilling conflict.

I’m kinda happy with it but it runs a real risk of elimination for marginalising ‘cohabitation’. Looking forward to settling down with a bunch of these on Tues/Weds!

You hit the nail on the head with thriller-writing being exhausting -- I had to keep talking through my timeline of events and twists to my poor boyfriend all weekend and I was going completely nuts.  I have no idea if I concealed any twists at ALL now or if it's even thrilling!  Romance writing feels like a vacation now!

Tell your friend Wink the following: initially, I went with the more abstract idea of ‘cohabitation’, but then I wrote a more solid interpretation of the term in the piece to reinforce it.

Anyway, I have no doubt they’ll all be fun to read. Great, as you say, to see so many of this group floating around.

who may just give our hero a chance to save the day
