Hi everyone  I’m currently trying to establish myself as a freelance copy editor and proofreader, and some work samples would be really helpful. I’m offering free editing – any genre, any length (up to 100K words) – to help build up a portfolio. In return, I’m requesting to use edited excerpts from your piece in my portfolio, and if you’re so inclined, perhaps a very short testimonial. Any interest would be much appreciated. In my spare-time, I write fanfiction. I don't know if that would work for your proposal? I mean, quoting something touching on copyrighted material (even though the cpyright owners don't actively pursue those who don't make money off their stuff) might be too tricky... ------------- started writing, before I could literally write.
