Just a reminder that everyone could use a critique or two. If you press the replies "button" at the top, it will sort the topics based on replies. You'll see a lot of folks with 0 replies which likely means zero reviews. I encourage everyone to pick one or two and give them a critique. Doesn't have to be much, just say what worked for you and what didn't.

Thanks for posting this! I was wanting to hit up some of the less reviewed pieces for exactly this reason, but wasn’t sure what the most efficient method of finding them was!

For people like me, reading and reviewing from your phone, you may have to switch to “classic” viewing instead of “mobile”. The option to do so is at the bottom of the page.

I like using the random number generator in the https://forums.nycmidnight.com/tracking-spreadsheet-google-sheets_topic21415.html" rel="nofollow - tracking spreadsheet to pick a group (Thanks, stephenmatlock!), and then I look for someone with no replies (or only a few). I have found some fantastic stories that way!

On the flipside, the other way to get reviews on your story, if you feel like you're missing out, is to review other stories yourself, lots of people are focusing on returning reviews at the moment, so get in there.

Thanks for the reminder. I have many on my list to get to, but I'll try to do one 0-rating per night.

Absolutely! Part of me thinks that the people getting more reviews might also be some of the same people giving lots of reviews.

I still owe reviews to 2 or 3 people, and then I'll try to find some folks who don't have many.

I am trying to review the stories with "0" replies, but I'm in a backlog right now trying to return reviews for those who've read my story. (This is not a plea for more reviews for my story, by the way. Just trying to make it clear that I try *very hard* to return reviews.)

I have been able to keep busy in reading with my heat, reading my reviewers works, and then I usually go into the back pages and start reading stories posted several days ago that aren't getting any love. When I get sick of this, I usually start going down one of the master lists to give me some direction.

I'm enjoying reading and critiquing, although I need to get better with the feedback I give.

I'll get to yours next. It might not be until this evening, though--I'm full up with projects today!

Hi Liam -  I can’t find the post with the link to your story.  Give that to me and I’ll read it tonight!

It isn’t — I guess maybe the forum’s gotten buggy about signatures — but i found it in your profile so good enough for me.

Would be so very grateful for anyone that’s looking for something to read to provide some feedback on my story. Thank you in advance. :)

Just remember, the best way to get reviews is to review other stories and have a link in your signature, most people are pretty good about returning reviews.

This really is the key. Just to review, and be reviewed in return.....
In my case, though, I'll be returning most reads/reviews in a couple of weeks' time. Snowed under in July...... despite hot weather.

Yeah, I feel like I will be catching up on return reads until results in September! And THEN I can get to all of my usual reads (forum friends), and THEN I usually make my way through the unloved pieces. :)

or host a Master List.... Every time I think I'm caught up on returns and can cherry pick a no-replies-yet story, another one pops up! I guess there are worse problems to have! LOL
