I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but I can't seem to get the search button to work for me. Can we use snippets from real songs?

While you will not be disqualified for using song lyrics in your submission (unless you are trying to pass it off as your own), please keep in mind that you would technically need to get the rights to use the lyrics from the author. Ah, okay. Well, I submitted with a line of lyrics-- I do understand that if I want to publish I will have to remove the line, but for this contest will there be any deductions at all?
