Hi Guys,

My first submission did pretty well, I'm worried that the 2nd isn't didn't stick within the parameters enough to get me further. I took shortcuts to get it under 5 mins by striping out a few things which I think might have compromised the genre. What I'm looking to find out is how the points are allocated, for example:

  1. Quality of story = 3
  2. Sticking to Genre = 3
  3. Use of Location = 3
  4. Writing skill = 3
  5. Didn't use prop = -3
  6. Bad formatting/spelling = -3
  7. Anything else? = 3

That sort of thing, is this available anywhere?

D

From the official rules...

20. Judging Criteria & Decision of the Judges - The fixed standard and criteria used by each of the Judges shall be instructed by the LLC to the Judges, and shall be as follows:

5% Spelling & Grammar
15% Format (Adherence to paragraph #14)
80% Screenplay (Writing, Originality, Character Development, and Plot Development)

Thanks Steph, so not adhering to Genre and location is either yes or no, in other words disqualified if it's not 100%?

I think they are generally open to various interpretations when it comes to location and object. They tend to be a bit more strict when it comes to genre.
