Almost half the groups (7 of 16) have 9-10 stories posted!!
Almost half the groups (another 7 of 16) have 5-6 stories posted!!

This means that nearly 90% of the groups (87.5%) have our arbitrarily-ideal 5 stories for group members to read and compare 'how others used the prompts.'

It also means that there are 112 semi-finalist stories for us all to read!  (Thanks, writers!)

And then, there's Group 13, which would reach 5 if just one more person would post a story.

And poor, lonesome Group 4, with its 2 little tales, sitting forlornly in their tiny corner...  <sniffle>

I want to read all the stories this round! (But, of course, I'll run out of time.)

See, I don't feel that "pull" to read everything posted. Or rather: I don't allow myself to feel that pull.

Not that I'm not curious to see what everyone's done with their prompts, or get a good idea of the "competition" in this round or that, but time being the fickle bitch that it is, I know it's just not possible. So I deliberately and carefully choose the ones I get to read, on top of the reviews I owe people (which, this time around with FFC and SSC running at the same time, I find hard enough as it is). I go in with a state of mind that says "You won't read everything, don't even hope to get close to reading everything, so read as much as you can, but don't fret it."

Or else I'll go crazy.

I'd like to point you to Daniel Pennac's Rights of the Reader, especially rights number 1, 4 and 5:

1.The right to not read
2.The right to skip pages
3.The right to not finish
4.The right to reread <-- I've reread some stories and scripts, yes, because they were that good...
5.The right to read anything <-- Even polsat, dammit, even polsat...
6.The right to escapism
7.The right to read anywhere
8.The right to browse
9.The right to read out loud
10. The right not to defend your tastes

So there. I don't feel bad.

Yeah we are lonely! Any other Group 4s out there?

Having said that, I'm never quite sure if I want to read other entries in the same group, particularly the brilliant ones...

Nixie, thanks as ever!

Yay @Qatra for putting a fifther story in group 13.

Which just leaves poor, lonesome group 4.....  Which has reached 3 little tales - bare-minimum but at least it's up to three.

Surely two more of you could step up...?  just a couple of group 4 stories.... pretty please...

Looks like around a 30% posting rate in total... that's pretty high isn't it?
