Same here! I wrote this morning, but then showed it to a family member who "didn't get it" so now I have the dreaded task of deciding whether to try and edit what I do have or just start over... *sweats*

I learned the hard way not to show my husband anything I'm working on until it's definitely finished. Mostly because, even then, he'll say 'I don't get it' but by then I've sent it out into the world and people who do 'get it' are already telling me what they like about it! (ie this forum!)

I've got 2 different stories written but I don't know how I feel about either of them. One is drama and one is fantasy. Maybe I'll just really torture myself and write a third.

Oh man.  I got the dreaded, “I don’t get it “ last night.  I just went to bed. Now I am rethinking all my life choices.  Lol.

I've never made it to a final before and it's way to much pressure! I have 100 words but I think they all may be terrible. I'm sending it out for people to tell me how bad it is.

I'm really feeling the pressure too! 7,000 writers down to just 200 - and I'm amongst them? Gulp! Imposter syndrome doesn't help the creative juices flow!

Same boat, but I appear to have lost the oars >_> Luckily I'm in PST and have plenty of good daylight left.

I hope you've made more progress, Lady!

To everyone feeling the intense pressure of imposter syndrome...

You all made it here by being excellent storytellers. No matter how stubborn your story is being or how many drafts it takes to get to a place you're happy with, you can do this.

Forget the judges, because they're unpredictable and impossible to intentionally please anyway. Forget the competition from other writers, because at this level, we've all got a decent chance at the top 10. Just write the best damn story you can today, and let that be enough.

None of us are defined by whatever 100 words we could manage to pin together in 24 hours, anyway. ;) Write the story that demands to be told, outcomes be damned.
