I'm super intimidated seeing you other Group 12 people, because I looked down to see what stories you'd done and I think I had read and loved all of them.

Scrapped the only semi-decent idea I'd had all day for just not being able to pare it down below 300, then finally gave up and scribbled something fun that clocked in at 262 first draft, so now I'm happy. It's not Serious Business but I enjoyed writing it. Hope everyone else is happy with their work!

Horror - Using a can opener - behind

It's my favourite genre, the one I always hope for and never get in flash fiction. It's also my genre from the first round.

I was completely uninspired, and may well have submitted complete gibberish.

Yeehaw. That was a ride. I feel like a ran a literal marathon. Exhausted now. Had to have my teen sons take look considering my genre. It was a good idea.

Group 27. Action/adventure/putting in ear plugs/stream

Drama - revving an engine - opportunity

I'm pretty pleased with it. My novels usually have a muscle car or Harley as a bit player.

We'll see if the judges agree.
