@redhart - Cool, Breakup Story! Weirdly enough, I'm excited about what people come up with for this genre.
@Dark&StormyNight - Haha I think I would miss it too. I'm going to move the bit revealing the genres near the top of the email. You weren't the only one that missed it :D Also, shoutout to @A.J. Gemick for the Swashbuckler genre. Another one I'm excited for. @Rachel M - Personally, I think I would struggle with a Western, but it's actually a fairly broad genre. A lot to play with :) Good luck!

Zombie! I told myself I wouldn't change any of my prompts but...zombie! I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but I'm confident I'll come up with something. Breakup story is definitely more my kind of thing, haha!

I got “swashbuckler” and I’ve written more of a modern action comedy - I’m hoping folks are forgiving with the genre definition!

Comedy should work great as a swashbuckler, think Pirates of the Caribbean? I just did my final submission with two hours of deadline. I love having extra time.

I also had swashbuckler and am curious as to the range of stories there will be. Googling can be dangerous…while I immediately think pirates I was actually steered toward action/rescue/damsel in distress.

Phew, submitted! I really didn't think I'd manage to write this since I got sick and didn't start it until this morning. It's a bit ridiculous but I'll always remember it as the screenplay I wrote on Mother's Day with a pounding sinus headache.

Turned mine in a few hours early, and wrote the majority on an 11 hour plane ride. Love, love, loved writing Western!

Very frantic finish (thanks for your help, Max!!), but I had so much fun writing this! I'm also hoping my judges are liberal about the genre... I went heavily into a subgenre. Good luck to everyone!
