My wife actually sent me the link. I'm excited to find a place where other people who have the same goal of wanting to get their stories out to a broader audience exists and appears to be active.
I signed up for the contest beginning at 11:59 on January 23. I really can see the challenge in writing a story and revising it in a short period of time - kind of like Hell's Kitchen for writers. I hope I do well. Nice to meet you all.

Welcome! It sounds like you signed up for the Short Story contest. It's a fun one! I'll be doing it as well. It's super challenging (for me, anyway) because I'm a naturally slow writer. The time adds a lot of extra pressure to the mix. I actually took the week off work for it so I could focus on writing. Last year I was sick and working extrq hours the whole week, so it really hurt me. If nothing else, this year I'll be well-rested.

I'm not slow. Once I get the story in my head it goes super fast so hopefully that will mean I have more time for revision

They run several contests per year, and each has a different price. There's always an early bird discount, and if you share on social media, you can get an additional discount. The short story contest has already started, so it's too late to sign up this year, but if you visit their website and select the contest you want to participate in, there will be FAQs and pricing.
