Hi Everyone,

Not sure if I missed it, but I was going to use italics for internal monologue and such, but the formatting is eliminated when I paste the story into the form. Should I use some sort of way to indicate italics, like using the BB codes to make Italics ? I know the BB codes work here but I'm not sure in the contest form.

Thank you!

BB codes do not work on the story upload form, so we would recommend altering your story slightly to let the reader know about the internal monologue.  For example, "I'm hungry" he thought.  This is just an example, but because the form is in plain text, it will need to be communicated to the reader in a different way than italics.  We hope to offer additional options for formatting in future competitions.  Sorry for any inconvenience and good luck!
Next up is the 100-word Microfiction Challenge kicking off May 8th.

Thank you for your help. I think I found ways around italics. Unfortunately writing “he thought” out me over 100 words
