I struggled hard with the genre I was given and didn't even have any words on the page until about 3 hours before the deadline, so I'll take an HM. Of course I'd like to have moved on in the competition, but given how hard I struggled to even write the story, an HM is pretty awesome.

Been there done that. Although in my experience every "oh hell, this close" NYCm HM story has ended up in a cash money litmag purchase for me.

I refuse to pay the gas bill with it and dump it in my vacatiob find....
