I just realized my script might need a content warning for violence against women. Is that a thing I include with the actual submission or just here in the forum if I choose to share it for peer reviews? If I AM meant to include it with my submission, where does it go?

From what I've seen, CW's appear on the forum. I would add one if you post your story here. This is a reply to a previous post on something similar. It may help. If not, there's no harm in adding a CW to the backup email you send to NYCM with your screenplay attached after submission.
How about sexual situations and violence? Yes, but use your best judgement. We realize that adult sexual situations and violence are sometimes necessary sometimes depending on the genre you are assigned and the story you are trying to tell. All the judges are adults, so it’s very rare for a story to be disqualified due to adult content. That being said, a story viewed as pornographic will most likely not score well or be disqualified by the judges. Edited by Nimhathuna - 10 Oct 2021 at 8:11pm |
