Group: 30
Genre: Comedy
Subject: Micromanaging
Character: A Hotelier

There was definitely about 72 hours of thinking this would be my first no-show. Let's see if round two is in my future!

I'm also group 30 so:

Genre: Comedy
Subject: Micromanaging
Character: A Hotelier

And had lots of pretty crap ideas for many days! Got something down which I think is 'alright' so I look forward to reading the others and how people interpreted the prompts!

Best of luck! As much as I hated the prompts to start, it ended up being pretty fun to write.

Wouldn’t have been my choice, not least because ‘burned-out’ hurts my burnt-out Aussie brain.

I had used the phrase "burnt-out" twice in my script. When I noticed how it was spelled on the submission page, I went back and changed it.

Yeah I went through mine and tried to Americanise everything. Then as I was submitting it I remembered that Americans don't use the word ute. A word I had used quite a few times... Welp, hopefully the judges google it if they aren't familiar.

Group 56

A Thriller - Relocating - A Crossing Guard.

After I stopped laughing, I got into it. I think this competition is hilarious.

Good luck E'rybody!
Life is short. Enjoy every second. BonPsi

After my initial, very British reaction of..... WTF is a pitchman? ... I think it's not so bad. I was originally sulking as I wanted horror or Historical Fiction. Perhaps the prompts could be molded into the latter?

Thanks for putting up this thread dcontarato..... I'm always intrigued with how others feel about their prompts!

Good luck everyone!

Hello fellow Heatmate! I am also in group 16. This is my first time joining a writing competition and found the prompt to be challenging, yet really fun. Hope to be able to read your screenplay!
Good luck :)
