I am most afraid of getting political satire...so political satire. Although with the current political environment maybe it won’t be so hard :)

Do they just need something for everyone to hate, is that it? I don't get why political satire continues to be a thing here.

That’s hideous - stuff of nightmares. You are brave venturing back, let’s hope the pattern is broken!

Yup. You’ll get PolSat & I’ll get a ghostie. I’m actually expecting ghosties since it’s been a couple rounds since I’ve gotten one. Bring on #9.

I really don't know. Even just removing "politics" from it would make it a little easier on people, since it's the only category that really adds another layer of stress for the writers that they'd pick the 'wrong' point of view. Political satire is really best suited to known echo chambers. There's enough stress drawing something you're just not comfortable writing (comedy, romance, etc) without adding "How do I make sure it's politically appealing to the judges, especially if I suspect that means not being sincere myself?"

I got three watery locations in FFC, and manage to get beehives of one sort or another in both screenplays, so.........maybe: romance / apiculture / scuba-diver sci-fi / combs / a long-distance swimmer poli-sat / ocean-life / a 1960s or retro pop diva |

I predict I will get a genre, a subject, and something else, I can't remember what the third topic is.
Yep, this is how creative I am right now. I'm nervous.

This is my shot at the short story. I did the flash last summer and enjoyed it, even though I was only in the first round.
I am guessing sci-fi/orange tree/hooker. Or colonel mustard in the kitchen with the pipe.
