If you drew Historical Fiction, do you provide references you might have used? had to do a bit of research to make things period accurate. I have a day left to crank this thing out.

What period are you writing about? I got histfic for the second round of Screenplay, and ended up setting it in 1937. I read a bunch of newspapers from the time.

You don't need to show references. It's fiction. It's important to try and be as authentic as you can for the period or setting you've used, but there is a tacit assumption that you know what you're talking about. 

The most important thing is to be careful not to use anachronisms or things that are out of place, or you run the risk of alienating your readers.
