   The third Jerboa Lit 500 flash fiction contest is just ONE
MONTH AWAY!

On FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3RD at 10PM Central time
(UTC -05:00), entrants from around the world will receive a prompt that
includes a genre, an item, and a short phrase –
all randomly drawn from our very special Video Hat – and will then have 48
hours to incorporate those elements into a 500-word story. (If you’ve taken
part in an NYC Midnight contest before, it’s our fun take on a similar
process.) For the complete list of potential genres and items – Magical

We’re giving out a $1,000 top prize, with an
additional $1,200 split between four finalists, plus an exciting selection of
flash fiction and lit mag prizes for our runners-up!
