I got romance, too, and I've been concerned with the same question! I think as long as the balance in the story skews more toward romance than comedy, it's okay to include some humor.

I am so stuck! we've got 3 hours and I can't seem to start a decent story. Everything I write it so sappy it makes me giggle.

I feel your pain! I wrote a couple drafts of wildly different stories this morning (one of which was the single sappiest thing I've ever written) and it took me FOREVER to decide which one to go with. I've never spent so much time pondering what exactly the difference is between a romance and a rom-com...

(I think I posted my response correctly this time...I'm new to this whole forum thing!)

I finally got something submitted that I didn't hate. Not hopeful that it will make it to the final round, but at least I submitted something! Congrats on making it to round 2!

Pretty much the same thing happened with me! Congrats to you, too, and here's hoping we'll both make it to round 3!
