Somehow managed to squeeze out (what I think at least) a pretty decent story! I started over 5 different times W,TH & Fri. Finished a 1st draft by 3:30pm Sat & got it in under the wire pretty happy with it overall!

Category 206: Comedy, Persistence, A waterman

Title: A Nautical Nightmare, or a Banana and a Briefcase

Synopsis: A fisherman and his niece encounter a series of unfortunate events during an annual fishing competition.

Cheers!

Group 144/suspense/a hunger strike/a tailor

The Tailor in the Motel

I haven't seen posts from anyone else in this group - I really hated these prompts!

It's crime caper / a hard sell / a paramedic

Never written a crime caper before! I found this pretty hard! Here's my synopsis.

               Coochie Saves The Day

Paramedic Shyam hatches a cunning scheme to pull off the biggest art theft Old Greenwich has ever seen. When a life-threatening medical emergency derails his plan, can a pooch save the day?

This sounds so fun LOL

Yay! And I look forward to reading yours!!

The Ghost of Izzy Johansen

An unlikely hero delivers a message of revenge to a murderer.

Ghost story.

Sick days.

A Juggler.

Subject of sick days threw me off.  Disappointed in my story.  Great learning experience though:)

Group 186 - Romance - Ripple Effect - Daydreamer

HANKERING FOR DICKENS

After WWI, Caroline Mills finds a bottle on the shore with a love letter inside. While searching for the author, she discovers that if she opens her own heart and faces her past, she may find love standing right in front of her.

My cat walked in front of my screen as I was reading these so I initially read your title as 'HANKERING FOR DICK'

Which seemed bold but not necessarily inappropriate for the romance genre...
