I am kind of surprised and sad the “go ahead” emails aren’t out yet… I have so many I am looking forward to!

I thought it was usually 72 hours? I was expecting them tomorrow.

You know, I think I’m thinking bout the Microfiction challenges that end on Saturday. You’re right.

I also think we were spoiled in R1 and the forums opened a day earlier than usual

I went back and checked this morning and I got my round 1 email at 9:12 on Tuesday.  Been anxiously expecting it to come all day.

I think the most reasonable assumption is that we've all been disqualified.

How quickly do they notify someone of they've been disqualified? does someone pre-read everything for disqualifications?

As I understand it, you don't find out till you get the feedback. From what other people have said, they got the feedback and a line was included in the email saying they were disqualified for X reason.

So, basically, if the reasonable assumption is right, we're all in for a long month Tongue

You don't find out until you get judges' feedback.
DQed entries still get feedback on the story, but they get an addendum at the bottom saying they've been DQed and for what reason.

Group 86: Political Satire/hydrotherapy spa/a heart rate monitor

Itchy and Scratchy

Synopsis: You scratch my back; I'll scratch yours. That's business as usual for Barry and Cooper, men who represent two sides of the same coin.

Woe is me. I drew the Political Satire card. I almost folded but decided three hours before the deadline to stop bitching and moaning and try to do a little writing. It's very little - around 555 words. This is based on a mostly true and very sordid story which might be a novel someday. Aww hell. Who am I kidding? It might be a short story someday.

A King calls a maid to his countinghouse. She goes, but is torn between her faith and her duty.

Submitted three minutes after the deadline.. with some typos and awkward comma placement. Oh well. I can't wait to read a bunch of other stories!!

With the location requirements for my story being “a birth” this just made me very nervous 😭😂
