I gave up working 2 years ago.
It was always putting me in a bad mood.

For this week and next week, my job is now "responding to tweets about Jeopardy!." (Tournament of Champions airs this week.)

Day job (pays the bills): Manager in an Information Technology Organization, for the Canadian Federal Government. I work for the Department that pays benefits to Canadians (Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, Canada Student Loans, among others etc.), so in this time of COVD, we are very busy working to help Canadians. Part time: Chef. (Doesn't pay the bills, but it's a passion hobby. I have a couple hundred cookbooks, at least.) Part time: Writer. (Definitely doesn't pay the bills, and it's also a passion hobby. I love learning and soaking up all the tips I can find.)

Medical coder, which boils down to slightly glorified data entry (medical coding is not the same as the computer science-y type of coding that everyone thinks of, unfortunately). I would love to be doing something else, but I have no idea what. I got into the health information technology field in desperation after graduating college during the Great Recession and being unable to find work to save my life. Still stuck here twelve years later thanks to a complete lack of any useful skills. Sadly, no one wants to hire a professional napper or Netflix watcher.

I feel I might be part of the outliers here. I’m a full-time cook. Not a chef. Just a cook.

I work in advertising! I’ve got a writing background (Aka was a copywriter) but just got promoted to Associate Creative Director, which means I now oversee art and copy and help lead projects which is all very new and exciting! Just got to go on my first video shoot!
Also in my spare time I do some freelance journalism/essay-ing for a website dedicated to the…uhhhh… devils lettuce, which is legal where I live! But in previous life, a barista, dishwasher, babysitter, and camp counselor!
