I got ghost story, breaking glass, block.
The obvious idea is kids breaking into an empty house on an abandoned block, but don't want to go with obvious. So I've done something entirely different instead, and submitted. Just a bit afraid it might be more horror than ghost...

My first shot at Rom Com and 250 words today.  Submitted, have no clue if it’s any good, but proud that I finished.

Group 75 selling something/correct

Group 42, comedy. I am not a comedic person.

I wrote my first draft and handed my laptop to my husband so he could read it. "I thought you said it was comedy?"

Me: "Um, this part isn't funny?"

"You do dry wit, that's something," says my husband. Yeah, thanks babe.

Damn that sucks. I got comedy too (Group 2), which is difficult enough for me. I'd be screwed if I had to write a rom-com. Give it your best shot!

I'm Group 22. Sci-Fi/taking pain medication/transform. Initially, I was bricking it. Submitted earlier. I have to say it wasn't that bad as categories go (she said wistfully, hoping at this very late stage for a fairy tale).LOL

I got sci-fi which is one of the best genres I could have gotten. Kinda threw me though. Complete mental blank followed by too many ideas.

Group 44 here too!! I'll look for your story later. Smile

I'm Group 68/ordering from a drive-thru/rich. This is hard for me. I'm almost never intentionally funny. Unintentionally, sure. But writing something that's meant to be entertaining? Ugh. I think I'd have preferred almost any other genre.

Ah well, we'll see what I make of it!

This makes me feel better, thanks. I'm stuck. My family reviewed my first go at RomCom and said it was depressing. They're right!     I can only think of the Wedding Planner-- ugggggghhh.

Dude, sometimes I feel like that's all I do, even for short fiction!
