OH GAWD!

I just realized I submitted a copy with grammar errors. Sometimes I wrote from my computer, from my phone, or from my tablet. I guess at some point something didn't sync well!

Should I just assume now that I'm out for the count?

I'm pissed at myself about that but hopefully they didn't expect me to have hired a professional editor lol

I think, generally speaking, most of the points comes from the story not from grammar/spelling etc so i wouldn't be throwing up the white flag just yet! :)

Grammar and spelling only counts 15%. Courage, mon brave.

I don't think a few grammar or spelling errors cost you. If it's riddled with it, that's different. Anything written in a week is really a first draft. No matter how many times you scan through it that week, if you pick up again in a month, you'll find stuff you missed. I didn't begin mine til the day of the deadline. Reading through it today, I found several little things. I doubt those things will be a factor in the score.

So far as I've noticed, I managed not to have any glaringly obvious errors for my submission but that is purely down to the fact that I gave it to a Grammar-Nazi and someone with an eye for detail before I sent it in.

Otherwise, my story would've been riddled with them! I kid you not, I could read through my story once a month for 100 years and still find typos and errors! I just seem to be blind to them in my own work...

I don't envy you...

My error was really stupid, is bound to get a mention in feedback, I did it twice... and have corrected it in my forum version. I wrote two quantities as numbers, not as words ie 20, not twenty, 40 not forty. It shouldn't be too damaging, plus we'll never know, as the chances of progressing are 1 in 6 (one in six), but it annoyed the hell outta me.

I wrote my character's teeth are shattering instead of chattering, which is a very, very different mental image Ermm.
