Congrats! I loved your story!

I'm out! Congrats to all those moving on!

This was my first time participating, and I had a blast.  Just signed up for flash.  :-)

Nothing here, but congrats to those who made it- especially those in my round that posted! I think two of them are moving on!

I'm considering the Flash- anyone else? How does it compare to the Short Story comp?

I like it better than Short Story. 48 hours and 1000 words is easier for me - 2500 seems enormous in comparison!

That does sound fun. Maybe I'll give it a go!

Not even an honorable mention and unless I missed someone,no one who posted from my heat even got an HM. Eh. I knew I took a chance because the genre description makes it pretty clear the kind of romcom they want (Hallmark shlock, Nora Ephron cutesy stuff) and I don't slum that hard. Continuing the tradition that the more objectivly good a story I do the worse it scores here!

At least my favorite thing I think I read the whole time WON its heat! "Magpies of Sugrut"!

I suspect I was penalized on my genre interpretation as well (more drama than romance), but your story was truly one of my favorites from this round.

I loved both of your stories, and was bummed not to see them on the list! So few of my favorites made the cut this round.

Didn't make it and totally understand why.  One of the stories in my group that I really enjoyed got 2nd in the group though, so I'm glad for that.

And at least I got to participate in the second round.

I'm ready for Flash now, haha!

Good luck to all those moving on!

Can't say this one didn't sting. And on a MONDAY, of all days. Ugh.

Looking forward to Flash!

I am amazed at that result - your round 2 story was so thoughtful.

On to Flash - can't wait myself!
