Hi everyone,

This is my first time entering the NYCM Screenwriting Challenge and also posting in the forum.

I am in Group 29 and had to work with:

                          Romance...A new hobby...a deaf person

I came up with:

                                The Glitter Jar
Down on her luck and at her wits’ end, Erin makes a simple decision that changes her life in ways she never dreamed would be possible.

Best of luck to everyone. I hope to be more active as time goes on. Smile

When I got my assignment, I seriously considered trashing my $40 entry... I despise the genre with nearly every fiber of my being. My wife really liked it, saying, "For someone who hates romance, this is really good."

Group/Heat 29: Romance, Deaf Person, New Hobby

Paint By Numbers

deaf young man reluctantly joins his good friend Emily for a

night out of painting. A journey to find his voice leads to an

unexpected love.

2nd year doing this competition. Always very nervous/intimidated to post in forums, especially with all the amazing looking screenplays here.

Would love feedback on how to improve this super clunky longline! (And still retain the information.)
